What’s worse than running out of Girl Scout Cookies and KNOWING that there is absolutely NO WAY to get anymore to eat until next February???
Receiving an amazing Seller’s Tool that Amazon sends out to it’s merchants – the “Amazon Selling Coach”…. and NOT having the product to sell!!
(Click picture to see what Amazon had to say!)
The really COOL thing is that if you have sold certain inventory in the past, but don’t have any in stock CURRENTLY, then you get this automated email telling you when NO SELLERS have it, but there are buyers LOOKING for it. This email is sent out automatically, and I have received SEVERAL… for the same thing… Girl Scout Thin Mint Cookies.
*sigh*
If only we hadn’t been such PIGS!!! I would have had a LOT more to sell!!!
Well, hindsight is definitely 20-20 here, and that 75 box goal Steph made just jumped to AT LEAST 150 boxes… ALL Thin Mints.
Of course, I won’t be able to gouge… *ahem* … “make it worth my while” until the cookies are all gone and sold out.
AND we will ALL have to control ourselves and refrain from eating the profits, but it looks like a nice little payday for her Brownie Troop (she had her bridging ceremony from Daisy Scouts Monday night) AND for us next Spring LOL!
What can YOU learn from this story… ARBITRAGE. I figured out that Girl Scout Cookies have a HUGE market on Amazon… especially well AFTER the cookies are GONE from the grocery stores, sidewalk sales and break rooms. What is even cooler is that I don’t have to stand outside in the freezing wind in mid-February pimping these things for a couple hours at a time!
My good friend Debra Conrad has been dabbling in Amazon & eBay Arbitrage too… in fact she just wrote a GREAT blog post & report detailing her thought processes and exactly what she has been up too.
It’s a GREAT read and learning tool!
I really suggest you check it out!!!

Great writeup. I have been buying some items on ebay that I plan to resell. Just trying to decide if I want to cut them up and sell them or sell them whole. I make more money one way but destroy the magazines in the process. Well, I guess someone along the way will be cutting them up, so guess it may as well be me.
Never would of have thought about Girl Scout Cookies. Great information. Of course, the only problem would be not eating them all. Thanks
